Postcards From the Edge

Today I want to share a great little quilt that I finished up this weekend. Postcards From the Edge

This little quilt was made with the fun Postcard QAL hosted by Debbie over at A Quilters Table. This is a great little pattern that goes together quickly and uses fun text fabrics to look like postcards!

I made mine with the beautiful Indelible Fabrics from Art Gallery by Katerina Roccella. These have that lovely soft, flowing quality that Art Gallery is known for and the colors and designs are just beautiful! I could easily see a wonderful top/blouse made out of several of these especially the lovely teal and grey flowery ones.

I chose the name for this quilt based not only on the postcard blocks but on the wonderful imagery from the Indelible fabrics like this beautiful deer - so handsome he looks like he standing on the edge, just watching! You can see I did loop de loop quilting on this quilt. First time I have done this and I think it turned out well. I would use it again. It added texture and interest without taking away from the design and fabric.

This is the back of the quilt and you can see I pieced it using two different fabrics and reversed them to add some interest -fun butterflys made up of triangles and deers on the coo coo clocks.
For the binding I used the grey with small print flowers.
